You are here: Home / About Squeggs
Squeggs.com’s primary aim is to raise funds for good causes, chosen by registered charities, chosen by you.
While Squeggs.com is committed to raising money for these charities, it does not take responsibility for how the charities choose to use these funds. Nor do we take responsibility for which charities our players choose to nominate for participation.
Squeggs.com aims to develop new online routes for players who want to give to charity whilst getting a chance to win prizes whilst doing so.
All squegg purchases will be verified by a process involving human interaction, we will send an email to confirm your purchase as a way of ensuring that the process is not completely machine/ computer generated. You can also purchase a squegg by post, however do bare in mind that if the squegg draw has already taken place by the time your post arrives with us then we will not be able to enter you into the draw and your payment will be returned.
All money raised by Squeggs.com is shared between the Charities, the Players and Squeggs.com. Squeggs.com is a not for profit organisation and simply takes an appropriate administration fee under the strict regulation of the Charities Commission. The administration fee covers costs such as Paypal transactions and website maintenance, etc.
Players choose how to split the funds raised by Squegg sales. Once the small administration fee is subtracted the players must give a minimum of 20% to charity before the remainder of the money is then used as a prize to be won by the winner. This arrangement follows the minimum requirments of lottery contribution under legislation in the UK. For more information contact the Gambling Commission.
All winners are chosen at random.
